Investing in what lasts.

Creating desirable places. Building lasting value.

What makes the value of a place — and the desire to return? Its location, its identity, the quality of its welcome or the experience it offers?

An expedition to cross the perspectives of investors, hoteliers and real estate professionals on the places we acquire, transform and bring to life. Between economic performance, a sense of hospitality and a patrimonial vision.

The spirit of the experience

Facing the landscapes of the Far North, take the time to rethink what makes a place singular and its model sustainable.

Hotels, houses of character, residences and destinations: explore how to connect real estate value to operational quality, guest experience and territorial roots. A conversation between those who finance places and those who bring them to life.

The highlights
Creating desirability

Exploring how identity, design, service and experience create attachment to a place.

Crossing investment and operations

Bringing together the expectations of owners, investors and operators: positioning, profitability, quality and holding horizon.

Reinventing places

Discussing renovation, conversion and new uses, factoring in environmental challenges and the realities of the territory.

Building for the long term

Questioning the choices that preserve the attractiveness of an establishment, evolve its model and pass on its value.

For whom?

Private and institutional investors, hotel owners and executives, hospitality operators, developers, entrepreneurs and real estate professionals wishing to confront their visions and enrich their projects.

You come back with…

A more complete reading of the value of places, leads for your investment or operating projects, and connections with decision-makers with complementary expertise.

The experience

Norway — An invitation to wonder

Taking to the sea and letting the unexpected shape the voyage.

Aboard the Captain Arctic, our exceptional solar sailboat, Satkāra Society invites you on an exploration of northern Norway, between discoveries, encounters and wonder.

As you sail, the spectacular relief of the Lofoten Islands reveals itself: steep mountains, deep fjords and villages nestled at the water’s edge. Each stop opens a new perspective; each crossing offers time to savour its beauty.

Scanning the horizon, catching the blow of a whale, following the movement of orcas… Here, encounters with wildlife remain unpredictable, and that is what makes them so precious.

The exploration continues to Tromsø, gateway to Arctic Norway, where, depending on the season and conditions, the northern lights may illuminate the sky.

A Satkāra experience to nourish your curiosity, share your discoveries and rediscover the pleasure of wonder.

The Programme

The key moments of your voyage

8 days and 7 nights between Tromsø and the Lofoten Islands, along the inner coastal route — whales, fjords and northern lights.

Day 1

Tromsø — Embarkation

Embarkation around 6 pm. Welcome dinner, perhaps under the first northern lights.

Day 2

Tromsø & the inner coastal route

Visit of the capital of northern Norway and its historic wooden quarters. Nicknamed the “Paris of the North” for its student and visitor life, Tromsø was the departure point of the great polar expeditions. Its monuments and museums honour the explorers, notably Roald Amundsen.

Day 3

Lofoten Islands & the Bleik canyon

Sailing through the Lofoten Islands. Off Andenes, the famous Bleik canyon is an ideal spot for watching whales and sperm whales.

Day 4

Andenes · Trollfjord · Sortland

Discovery of Andenes, a town of 1,500 inhabitants born of the great fisheries, renowned for its whale and sperm whale populations. Sailing through the Trollfjord, remarkable for its narrow passages and peaks rising above 1,000 metres.

Day 5

Nusfjord & Leknes

Visit of this Lofoten hamlet listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, famous for its historic “rorbuer”. These former fishermen’s houses now host residences and museums recalling the rich history of local fishing.

Day 6

Reine

The spectacular bay of the Lofoten, renowned for its landscapes and fishing traditions. Røst and Værøy are home to puffins and sea eagles, while 600 boats fish off the reefs.

Day 7

Henningsvær

A picturesque village nestled among a hundred rocky islets. Free time to explore this fishing village surrounded by 1,000-metre peaks, then Svolvær, capital of the Lofoten, before returning to the inner coastal route.

Day 8

Tromsø — Disembarkation

Return to Tromsø, disembarkation around 9 am.

Practical information

Preparing your voyage.

Activities on board, time dedicated to our theme and useful information to make the most of every stage.

Explore & marvel

  • Hikes ashore — Discovering the Norwegian landscapes on foot, between steep reliefs and panoramas over the fjords.
  • Zodiac explorations — Approaching the coastline and extending the discovery as close to the water as possible.
  • Wildlife watching — Watching for encounters with wildlife, at nature’s own pace.
  • Northern lights — A watch is kept to alert you, even at night, when they appear. Anchorages are chosen to favour their observation and photography, though this natural phenomenon can never be guaranteed.
  • Kayak outings — Discovering the landscapes from the water, when weather conditions allow.

Time dedicated to our business theme

Beyond the explorations, several moments of the voyage are devoted to our theme: investment, real estate and hospitality. On board or ashore, between two sailings, we set aside time for exchange and work designed to learn, confront perspectives and move your projects forward.

Workshops punctuate the voyage — shared experiences, concrete cases and collective reflections led with the other participants and speakers. The formats remain flexible and adapt to the rhythm of the expedition: the precise programme takes shape day by day, leaving room for encounters and landscapes.

A French-speaking voyage

Throughout the voyage, a dedicated lecturer accompanies you in French to shed light on the landscapes, wildlife and territories crossed.

The climate

The Norwegian coast benefits from the influence of the Gulf Stream, which softens temperatures. In November, plan warm, waterproof and windproof clothing to make the most of the explorations.

Formalities

For nationals of the European Union and Switzerland: a valid national identity card or passport. For other nationalities, the formalities should be checked according to your situation.

Included excursions

All excursions on the programme are included. Depending on the stage, discoveries are made on foot, by Zodiac, taxi, car or minibus. Some visits are free-form, so you can explore at your own pace.

Kayak outings are offered when the weather allows. Activities adapt to conditions on site.

Your journey to Tromsø

We can organise your flights according to your preferences, with an arrival in Tromsø around 4 pm and a departure around 10 am, depending on availability and the voyage schedule.

The highlights of the voyage

What you will keep from this voyage.

Five highlights that make the soul of this expedition.

Sailing through a preserved Norway, along the most spectacular passages of the inner coastal route.

Discovering the soul of the Lofoten, between fishing villages, colourful houses and mountains plunging into the sea.

Exploring Tromsø, gateway to the Arctic, between Nordic culture and boreal horizons.

The Satkāra spirit

Beyond the landscapes, this voyage carries the Satkāra spirit: time for encounters, the pleasure of slowing down and of wonder. You weave shared memories, real business opportunities emerge, and you return richer for everything you have learned — from others, from the territories and from yourself.
