Beyond Success

What if success were measured differently?

6 days. 5 nights. 10 participants. Happiness & Ambition — the art of redefining success.

You have learned to build, to decide, to move forward. To turn ambitions into achievements. But when did you last take the time to ask yourself what success really means to you?

In the heart of the Himalayas, in a country where happiness holds a singular place in the vision of development, Satkāra Society brings together ten personalities with singular paths in the intimacy of the Bhutan Spirit Sanctuary. Six days to explore other perspectives, between Bhutanese traditions, wellbeing, cultural discoveries and privileged conversations. Not to renounce ambition. But to give it a new dimension.

Bhutan, another idea of success

Some destinations amaze us. Others transform the way we see the world. Bhutan belongs to the latter. Its Gross National Happiness proposes an idea of progress that goes beyond economic growth: it embraces wellbeing, culture and the preservation of the environment. A vision that resonates in a world where everything pushes us to accelerate, produce and achieve more.

What if stepping back were also a form of ambition? That is the question Beyond Success explores throughout the stay — moments of rest and conversations echo one another, and distance lets emerge what urgency kept at bay. The link to business remains concrete: choosing more wisely what you develop, how you do it and what you wish to preserve. Another way of thinking about success, without ever ceasing to build.

4 dimensions to rethink success
01 — BALANCE

Nurture your energy as much as your ambitions. Take time to rest, listen to your needs and identify what sustains — or drains — your momentum.

02 — DISCERNMENT

Recognise what truly deserves your attention. Question your goals, your habits and your criteria for success; distinguish what drives you from what you pursue out of habit.

03 — CONNECTION

Give human relationships their full place again. Reflect on the place of your teams, partners and loved ones in what you are building — and on the bonds that nurture trust.

04 — PERSPECTIVE

Imagine what comes next with more freedom and meaning. Rise above a transition or a decision, and set a course that embraces your business as much as your life.

Who is it for?

For those who still have much to build — differently. Entrepreneurs, leaders, investors, creators or project owners: you may be entering a new chapter, preparing a transition or simply wishing to step back and look at your trajectory. You seek singular experiences, sincere exchanges and perspectives different from your own. You are not coming for ready-made answers: you are coming to discover new ways of asking the questions.

The Satkāra spirit

Ten personalities. Ten trajectories. Other perspectives. Complementary worlds — people who would not necessarily have met elsewhere. No conventional networking here: encounters are built on affinities, curiosity and the pleasure of sharing. A dinner opens a new perspective, an unexpected conversation sheds light on a decision, a shared experience gives rise to a lasting relationship.

This is the very philosophy of the Slow Meeting: giving relationships the time and the setting they need to gain depth. Relationships first. Trust next. Opportunities, naturally.

The signature moments

Behind every visible success lie decisions carried alone, doubts and aspirations we rarely take the time to put into words. This retreat gives them a place, in three moments.

The Happiness Dialogue — a private conversation with our special guest, in an intimate setting, to confront visions and question our certainties about success and fulfilment.

The Satkāra Table — around an intimate table, conversations free of pretence, in a spirit of trust, attention and confidentiality.

The Next Chapter — a reflection circle to share an ambition, a decision or a new direction. Not a coaching session, but a moment of collective intelligence between personalities with complementary experiences.

A bilingual stay

The retreat unfolds in French and English. The Sanctuary teams, doctors and guides welcome you in English; the Satkāra team provides support at every step — consultations included — so you have nothing to worry about.

The climate

In late October, Bhutan is at its finest: clear skies over the Himalayas, mild days of around 18 to 20 °C in Paro, cool nights at altitude. Pack comfortable clothing for treatments and walks, a warm jacket for mornings and evenings, good shoes for the Tiger’s Nest and modest attire for the temples.

Entry requirements

Bhutan requires a visa for most nationalities, including French and European citizens; it is obtained before departure, and we handle the application with the Sanctuary. The country’s daily Sustainable Development Fee is included in your stay. A passport valid for at least six months after your return date is required. Cancellation insurance is mandatory; it is not included in the stay. We recommend cover that also includes repatriation.

Your journey to Bhutan

Paro airport is served from Singapore by Drukair; this return Singapore–Paro flight is included in your stay, together with the airport welcome and the private transfer to the Sanctuary, fifteen minutes away. International flights to Singapore remain at your charge; we can arrange them according to your preferences. Travelling on your own terms? Let us know — we will coordinate your arrival times with the programme. Final dates and schedules will be confirmed before any booking.

Bhutan Spirit Sanctuary, the luxury of returning to the essential

Bhutan Spirit Sanctuary

A rare address in the heart of the Himalayas

In the Neyphu valley

In this preserved valley, fifteen minutes from Paro airport, the Sanctuary combines architecture inspired by Bhutanese fortresses with an approach to wellbeing rooted in the country’s traditions.

Bhutan's first wellness-inclusive resort

Medical consultation, one treatment per day, yoga and meditation: everything is included. A one hundred percent plant-based approach, inherited from traditional Bhutanese medicine.

An intimate 24-room retreat

Inspired by traditional Bhutanese architecture, this five-star hideaway combines natural materials and local craftsmanship: spaces open onto the mountains, a heated pool facing the peaks, a tea bar of twenty infusions.

Award-winning treatments

Herbal hot-stone bath — named best spiritual treatment of 2026 by SpaChina —, moxibustion, sound healing: ancient gestures, practised by Bhutanese doctors and therapists.

Where you become fully available again

A place chosen by Satkāra for its ability to create the conditions for authentic encounters, away from the pace and demands of everyday life: resting, prolonging a conversation or simply enjoying the place. You come as much to discover Bhutan as to find new perspectives.

The art of staying

The horizon as your only urgency

Facing the Neyphu valley, your room blends contemporary elegance with Bhutanese craftsmanship: wood, stone and local textiles, mountain light, a private balcony or terrace. A refuge designed for slowing down, plastic-free and distraction-free.

On waking, the Himalayas as your horizon. Silence, space and that precious feeling of having nothing to rush. The luxury of feeling truly elsewhere.

The art of wellbeing

When traditions take care of the essential

At the Bhutan Spirit Sanctuary, wellbeing draws on the country’s ancestral knowledge. On arrival, a consultation in traditional Bhutanese medicine opens the way to a personalised journey: Ku Nye massages, herbal compresses, moxibustion, hot-stone baths infused with herbs.

Yoga at dawn, meditations, singing bowls, a heated indoor pool facing the mountains, saunas and hammams punctuate the stay, as you wish. Another way of taking care of yourself, where time becomes the most precious of privileges.

The art of hosting

The taste of Bhutan, the pleasure of sharing

Inspired by the seasons, the gardens and the local terroir, the Sanctuary’s table celebrates an authentic gastronomy — Bhutanese, Asian and Western — where every flavour tells the story of a territory. Breakfast à la carte, a four-course lunch, a six-course dinner, and menus tailored to each guest.

From tea shared facing the mountains — twenty Himalayan herbal infusions — to dinners that linger, every meal becomes an occasion for discovery. Because some of the finest encounters simply begin around a table.
