Preparing your journey.
Optional activities, the time devoted to our business theme, and everything useful to prepare your stay with peace of mind.
Explore & marvel
The desert — Private falconry display, an introduction to horse riding or a camel ride through the reserve, stargazing beneath the desert sky.
Wellbeing — The Rainforest, the hydrothermal circuit at the Ritz-Carlton Al Wadi, and the private spa pavilions at Al Hamra Beach.
The sea — Private beach, kayaking and paddleboarding, boat trip on the Arabian Gulf.
Ras Al Khaimah — Pearl farm, fishing villages, the Hajar mountains less than an hour away.
The tables — Dinner in the desert under the stars, line-caught local fish at the Shore House.
Time devoted to our business theme
Beyond the desert, three moments of the stay are given over to our conversations: the opening business session, led by our guest speaker, the closing business salon at the golf club and the closing circle. A few weeks before departure, we will ask you one thing only: what costs you the most energy today, and what you want to change. The group stays deliberately small — 10 participants — so that everyone has time to tell their story.
A bilingual stay
The retreat is lived in French and English. The teams at both Ritz-Carlton resorts and our guest speaker work in English; the Satkāra team bridges the two at every stage, sessions included, so that you need not worry about a thing.
The climate
In early March, Ras Al Khaimah is at its best: sunny days around 25 to 28 °C, sea at 22 °C, cool nights in the desert. Pack light, covering clothes for the sun, a light sweater for evenings in the dunes, a swimsuit, a hat and closed shoes for the reserve.
Formalities
For French nationals and those of most European Union countries, the United Arab Emirates require no advance visa for a tourist stay; a passport valid for at least six months beyond your return date is enough. Other nationalities should check their entry conditions with the UAE embassy before booking. Cancellation insurance is mandatory; it is not included in the stay. We recommend cover that also includes repatriation.
Getting to Ras Al Khaimah
Dubai International Airport, served by direct flights from Paris, is about an hour’s drive from Al Wadi; Ras Al Khaimah airport is twenty-five minutes away. We can arrange your flights to suit you, as well as your private transfers to both resorts; those transfers are quoted separately. Prefer to travel under your own arrangements? Tell us, and we will coordinate your arrival times with the programme.
